Oakley W.I. meets at 8.00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month (except August) in the village hall.  We currently have 26 members and enjoy a varied programme of speakers throughout the year.  Last year (2018) our speakers covered topics ranging from Sheep Herding through to a scale model collection of Royal State Coaches and all points in-between.  We enjoy at least one outing each year and celebrate our WI birthday in March with a meal at a local restaurant.

New members are always welcome – either come along to one of the meetings and introduce yourself or, if you are a little shy, contact any of the committee members and we will come and have a chat with you.

Use the Link to have a look at our 2019 programme and please come along and join us.

A few years ago, (many more than we care to admit), a group of people from the village thought it would be a good idea to put together and perform a village show…. and since then we haven’t looked back!

oakley community cafe

Oakley Community Café takes place usually on the first Friday of every month (except August). The café is held at Oakley village hall from 10-11.30am.

We are a couple of Oakley residents who thought it would be nice to create a friendly local café, open to all. There is usually a good few home cakes and bakes on offer, along with tea and coffee. Any profit made is donated to a local good cause or charity. In the past we have donated money for St Mary's Church, Oakley School and Pre School, Thomley Hall, Children in Need and the list goes on.

If people would like to get in touch they can find out more on our facebook page 'Oakley Community Cafe'.
